Samsung Google Nexus Prime (Samsung Galaxy Nexus), Will It Look Like This?

Samsung and Google are expected to unveil the Samsung Google Nexus Prime, or the Samsung Galaxy Nexus at Samsung’s Mobile Unpacked event next week, where we are also expecting Google Android Ice Cream Sandwich to be unveiled.

Samsung has been teasing us with the design of the new Google Nexus Prime, and yesterday we got to hear some more Nexus Prime specifications, now we have a mock up design of the Samsung Nexus Prime, which is based on the Samsung video that we saw the other day.



The design looks very interesting, I guess we will find out exactly what it looks like next week, so far we have heard that the Google Nexus Prime will features Android Ice Cream Sandwich, plus a 4.65 inch Super AMOLED HD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, and the display is said to feature curved glass.

Other specifications on the Samsung Nexus Prime include a TI OMAP 4460 dual core Cortex A9 1.2GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, 32GB of built in storage and a microSD card slot.

The Samsung Nexus Prime will also come with the advanced 5 megapixel camera that we heard about previously and the camera will be capable of recording Full HD video in 1080p.

There will also be a front facing 1.3 megapixel camera, and the Samsung Galaxy Nexus will also feature LTE/HSPA support, NFC, plus 802.11 a/b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth, plus it will come with a 1,750 mAh battery.

Samsung Galaxy Nexus (Nexus Prime) Gets Official

The Android smartphone we have been hearing so much about over the last few weeks is finally here, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, which is the first device that will launch with the latest version of Google’s mobile OS, Android Ice Cream Sandwich,

It looks like the leaks on the specifications were spot on, as the Samsung Galaxy Nexus features a 4.65 inch HD Super AMOLED display with a resolution of1280 x 720 pixels, processing is provided by a dual core 1.2GHz processor.



The Samsung Galaxy Nexus features a 5 megapixel camera which is capable of recording full HD video in 1080p, it also features and led flash and auto-focus, there is also a front facing 1.3 megapixel camera for video chat, there is also HSPA+, WiFi, USB 2.0, Bluetooth and NFC, there will also be an LTE version depending on the region.

The Galaxy Nexus will be the first Android device to get Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, which will be a ‘pure Google’ experience, which means it wont be customized by Samsung with custom UI’s etc, and updates will be rolled out first to the Samsung Galaxy Nexus.



As we reported previously, Google and Samsung have confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy Nexus will go on sale in the US, Europe and Asia in November, there are no details on pricing as yet.

Assassin’s Creed: Revelations ‘Ancestors’ DLC Arriving Mid December

Hot after the launch of their new Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, Ubisoft have wasted no time announcing the arrival of the first DLC for the game which will be arriving next month on December 13th.

The new Assassin’s Creed: Revelations called Ancestors will include four new multiplayer characters : the swashbuckling Privateer, the devious siren Corsair, the battle-tested Brigand and the bloodthirsty Gladiator. Each with their own unique gameplay style, moves, weapons and taunts.



The Ancestors Character Pack will be available for download December 13 for $3.99 on the PlayStation Network for the PS3 and via Xbox Live for 320 points for the Xbox 360.

If you are still waiting for the PC version of Assassin’s Creed: Revelations to be released its due to arrive this month on November 29th.

Samsung SUR40 For Microsoft Surface Hits Pre-Order

Samsung has announced that their new Samsung SUR40 system, designed to be used with Microsoft’s Surface, has from today been made available for pre-order. The new Samsung SUR40 is equipped with a 40-inch LCD multi-touch screen, sporting a 1080p, 16:9, 1920 x 1080 resolution.

The Samsung SUR40 uses PixelSense technology to enable the LCD display to recognise fingers, hands, and even objects placed on the screen. Allowing it to process the information immediately, using a maximum of 50 touch points simultaneously.



The Samsung SUR40 is just 4 inches thick and is powered by an embedded AMD Athlon II X2 Dual-Core Processor 2.9GHz paired with AMD HD6750M graphics card. The Samsung SUR40 is priced at $8,400 in the U.S. for the base unit and is available to pre-order in 23 countries worldwide, pricing outside the U.S. will vary based on country-specific duties, taxes and fees.

Businesses such as Dassault Aviation, Fujifilm and Royal Bank of Canada already have big plans for the Samsung SUR40 and are expected to install Samsung SUR40 devices in locations around the world early in 2012.

Asus U32U 13.3 Inch Notebook Revealed

Asus has added another notebook to its range with the launch of the Asus U32U, which comes with a 13.3 inch display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, and it is powered by AM’s E-4 Fusion processor.

Graphics is provided by ATI’s Radeon HD 6320 GPU, and it also comes with 2GB of RAM and a 320GB hard drive, plus two USB 3.0 ports and one USB 2.0 port, and an 8 cell 5,600 mAh battery.



The Asus U32U comes with Windows Home Basic and will retail for $509, and it is expected to go on sale some time in January when it is officially announced at CES 2012.

Roku Media Streaming Boxes Arriving In UK And Canada

Roku has today announced that it will shortly be offering its set top media streaming boxes to UK and Canada consumers and expanding its platform to support region-specific channels.

Roku hopes to offer UK and Canada its platform and streaming media boxes in early 2012 allowing publishers of video, games and music together with other Internet content can now reach their customers’ TVs directly through Roku boxes.



Last month Roku unveiled its new Roku LT Streaming Box which is now currently available in the US for just $49.99 and added casual gaming to its service with games such as Angry Birds and PAC-MAN as well as premiere channels including HBO GO.

Unfortunately no information on pricing has been released as yet, but as soon as information comes to light we will keep you updated as always.

Verizon Samsung Galaxy Nexus LTE Appears On Video

The Samsung Galaxy Nexus went on sale in the UK today, but what about the US version of the device which is headed to Verizon Wireless, and with be an LTE enabled smartphone?

Verizon is yet to confirmed exactly when the Samsung Galaxy Nexus LTE will be available in the US, but Google has just posted a video of the US version of the device, which could mean the launch is imminent.




As soon as we get some sort of official confirmation from Verizon or Google when the US Samsung Galaxy Nexus is going to be available we will let you guys know.

The Worlds First Samsung Galaxy Nexus Sold Came With An Old Test Rom

The Samsung Galaxy Nexus went on sale in the UK today, and the device was being sold exclusively through a Phones4U store in London, the first person to pick up the Samsung Galaxy Nexus was Alex Ioannou.

Samsung posted a picture of Alex on Twitter, but it would appear that Alex wasn’t as happy as he looked in the photo, as he soon discovered that his Samsung Galaxy Nexus came with a test ROM of Android Ice Cream Sandwich.



Alex took his Samsung Galaxy nexus back to the store and managed to get a new one with the correct version of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on it, not exactly the best publicity for either Samsung or Google at the launch of the first Android 4.0 smartphone.

Orange San Francisco II Smartphone Announced (Video)

UK mobile carrier Orange has announced its latest smartphone, the Orange San Francisco II, which will come with Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread and the device features a 3.5 inch WVGA touchscreen display.

The Orange San Francisco II comes with 512MB of built in storage, plus a microSD card slot which supports up to 16GB cards, there is also a 5 megapixel camera, plus Bluetooth and WiFi.




 
The San Francisco II is available on Orange’s pay as you go contract for £99, or the device is also available fort free on their £10.50 per month 24 month contract, you can find out more details over at Orange.

Google Checkout Merging Into Google Wallet

Google has announced that it will be merging its two payment options into one with Google Checkout now becoming a part of Google Wallet. Enabling user who are currently using Google Wallet to be able to make purchases on Google Checkout enabled websites.

If you are a current user of Google Checkout you account will automatically be merged by Google into Google Wallet the next time you login or make a purchase.



Google has also stated that it will be making Google Wallet a payment method for purchasing applications on the Android Market. All Google Checkout and Google Wallet users can now access online purchase history and payment information at the Google Wallet website.

Panasonic To Launch Android Smartphones In US And Europe?

Panasonic has already released a couple of Android smartphone in Japan, like the Panasonic Lumix Phone 101P, which is an Android 2.3 Gingerbread device only available in Japan.

Now it would appear that Panasonic is looking to release some smartphones outside of Japan, and these will most likely be Android devices, and they are probably looking to launch these devices in the US and Europe.



The news comes from a PR Week, who have announced that Panasonic is looking to hire a PR agency to help the company launch smartphones in Europe, we don’t as yet have any details on what devices Panasonic intends to release outside of Japan.

Final Cut Pro X Update 10.0.2 Corrects Font And Playback Issues

Apple has today rolled out a new update 10.0.2 for its video editing software Final Cut Pro X which brings with it fixes for a number of issues users has been experiencing with fonts and playback.

Issues experienced by some users that made titles revert back to default fonts after being changed has now been fixed together with issues that could cause files recorded with certain third-party mobile devices to play back incorrectly.



The new update also addresses a stability issue caused by changing the start time on a Compound Clip. Apple suggests that all users now update to the latest version., so its time to power up the Mac App Store to download the update.

Acer Aspire S3 Ultrabook Gets Core i7 Processor

Acer has released a new version of its Aspire S3 Ultrabook notebook, which launched a while back, and the latest version now comes with an Intel Core i7 processor, plus a 13.3 inch HD display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels.

Other specifications on the Acer Aspire S3 include a 240GB solid state drive (SSD), and it measures just 0.51 inches thick and weighs in at just 2.98 pounds.



The base models of the Aspire S3 started at $899 with a Core i5 processor, although if you want this new Core i7 version it will cost you $1,299, and it will be available later this week from a range of retailers including Amazon and New Egg.

Android Powered i’m Watch Features Unveiled (video)

Samsung Confirms Galaxy S II Ice Cream Sandwich Update






We recently heard that Samsung has released details of which devices would be getting updated to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, the new initially came from Samsung Italy, and now Samsung UK has confirmed that their most popular Android device, the Samsung Galaxy S II will be getting the update.

Samsung UK confirmed on Twitter, that the Samsung Galaxy S II will be getting the latest version of Google’s mobile OS, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

Unfortunately those are the only details we have at the moment, Samsung have yet to confirm exactly when the Ice Cream Sandwich update will be released for the Galaxy S II, as soon as we get some more information we will let you guys know.
