Sub $299 NVIDIA Tegra 3 Tablets To Launch Six Months After Release?

A number of manufacturers have recently released details about their new NVIDIA Tegra 3 powered tablets, which include Asus with the new Transformer Prime, and a few others.

Many of these Tegra 3 tablets are expected to retail for around $499 plus, but now according to NVIDIA CEO Jen Hsus Huan, we could possibly start to see cheaper Tegra 3 tablets around 6 months after the release of the first ones.

According to Huan, he thinks that we will see the price of Tegra 3 tablets drop to around $299 a couple of quarters after the release of the first ones, and considering the Transformer Prime will launch next month that should mean we could see the cheaper tablets around the middle of next year.

We suspect that cheaper Tegra 3 tablets would be good news for Android, whether the manufacturers will be able to deliver Tegra tablets around the $299 mark remains to be seen.

Activision Bans 1600+ Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Users

As Activision explained when they launched their new game Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 3, there would be no toleration of cheating, hacking or the use of exploits by users.

In response to that statement this week Activision have backed their statement and announced that already 1600+ users have been banned due to attempts to cheat, hack, or use glitches within the game to obtain an unfair advantage over other players.

MW3 community czar Robert Bowling explains:

“any attempt to cheat, hack, or glitch in [Modern Warfare 3] will not be tolerated.”

“Reporting [cheaters] in-game through [Modern Warfare 3] goes directly to our security team, who issues the bans directly after verifying,” Bowling noted. “Every ban unique to the level of douchiness of the offense. The greater the douche, the greater the length. PermaDouche possible.”
