Microsoft Launches OneNote For Android

Microsoft OneNote has been available on Apple’s iOS and Microsoft’s own Windows Phone platform and now the company has announced the launch of OneNote for android.
One Note for Android is compatible with devices running Android 2.3 Gingerbread and above, and the applications is available as a free download.

Popular Games Set For Windows 8

What’s an app store without some games right? The Windows Store will be having some popular titles for Windows 8, such as Angry Birds, Reckless Racing and Toy Soldiers.

It’s only a few more weeks before Microsoft unveils its preview of the Windows Store and the consumer preview of Windows 8 and 11 games have been confirmed to be ported to the new platform, including Hydro Thunder, Ilomilo, Rocket Riot, Full House Poker, Tentacles, Crash Course, Ms Splosion Man and Wordament.
The new games are only the start of course, as Microsoft has disclosed previously that it is working on having Xbox LIVE integrated into the new PC OS.
With the popular games being ported to upcoming platforms, it could only be good news for casual and hard core gamers as they don’t miss out on anything.

Lumia 710 Call Disconnect Bug Confirmed, Fix To Be Ready Soon

Nokia disclosed that it is working on a fix for a certain bug reported by some Lumia 710 Windows Phone users wherein a call does not end even after hanging up.

The bug is a software issue and Nokia said it is close to a fix for the bug to allow users to see a display showing that the call has been stopped or has ended. Currently, some Lumia 710 users see the call still connected on their display even after pressing the end button.
Nokia explained that the call has actually ended after pressing the end button, which is the normal procedure, but there’s a certain bug on the display preventing it from showing the end of the conversation.
Some users were turning off their phones to make sure that the call has ended but Nokia said it is no longer necessary since the call has really ended, just that the display states otehrwise.

Nokia Belle Update Released For N8, X7 And More

Nokia has announced that they have started rolling out the Nokia Belle update to their latest Nokia Symbian smartphones, and the update is being released for a number of devices today.
Nokia devices which will receive the Nokia Belle update include the Nokia N8, Nokia E7, Nokia E6, Nokia X7, Nokia C6-01 and the Nokia C7, they have also said that the Nokia 500 will also get the Nokia Belle update within the next few weeks.

White Nokia Lumia 900 Leaked?

Yesterday Nokia announced that they would be launching a white Nokia Lumia 800, with the announcement of the new Nokia Lumia 800, Nokia posted some photos of the device to their Facebook page.
It would appear that someone at Nokia made a mistake, and instead of posting photos of the white Nokia Lumia 800, the photos were actually of a white Nokia Lumia 900 which has yet to be announced.

According to the guys over at Pocket Now, the photo is believed to be the internal version of the Nokia Lumia 900, which has yet to be announced, and we can expect to see the device launch at MWC 2012 later this month.
The international Nokia Lumia 900 is expected to share many of the same specifications as the US version, which include Windows Phone 7.5 Mango device and it features a 4.3 inch AMOLED ClearBlack touchscreen display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels.
Other features include a a single core 1.4GHz processor, plus a rear facing 8 megapixel camera with an f2.2 Carl Zeiss lens, the rear camera is capable of recording HD video in 720p, up front we have a 1 megapixel camera with an f2.4 lens and the device comes with 16GB of built in storage.

EA Battlefield 3 : Aftershock App Lands In US iOS App Store

In last August EA announced the development of a new iOS version of its popular Battlefield games. Now without any warning EA has dropped Battlefield 3: Aftershock into the US iOS App Store.
The new iOS game released by EA is now available to download for free but hasn’t brought with it any of the mentioned modes or features which EA was touting back in August and during its previews.

Battlefield 3: Aftershock is currently only available to play in multiplayer modes and no single player game has been enabled or included at this time. Other features missing include the “Horde-like” wave mode and EA has only added 4 different weapons at this stage, including your knife.
It seems that the game might have been released a little ahead of schedule as there doesn’t seem to be any way to ad any extra features either, via playing or payment. But if you fancy giving the multiplayer a go Battlefield 3 : Aftershock now available to download from the US Apple iTunes App Store for free.

Google Voice For Android Gets Updated

Google has released a new version of its Google Voice app for Android and the latest version of Google Voice brings a range of new features to the app on Android devices.
Google has updated the user interface on both Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich devices and Android Honeycomb devices, and it also fixes a number of issue, which include the ability to queue outgoing text messages.

Overwatch : Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Next Premium Map Revealed

Premium members of the Modern Warfare 3 Elite gaming service will be pleased to know details of the next round of maps have now been released by Activision. The next new map to land for Xbox 360 gamers will be Overwatch, which takes place in the skyline, office building above New York City.

Activsion explains a little about their new map landing on Xbox 360 consoles on February 21st.
“Shots break out on a construction site atop a New York City skyscraper. Battle takes place along two levels in a near symmetrical layout, with the central bridge and side routes open to attack from multiple angles. Watch your every step, as a lack of boundaries surrounding the perimeter leaves nothing to prevent you from falling far to the ground below.”

RIM Showcases PlayBook 2.0 Features

RIM has been pushing hard for its PlayBook to gain a market share in the tablet world, even slashing its prices to put its tablet into the hands of many users.  RIM is also banking on a list of new features on its major software update to attract many people.  It gave a glimpse of what the new PlayBook 2.0 can do at DevCon Europe.
Among the nifty features shown by RIM was the use of your BlackBerry handset as a controller on your PlayBook. It’s part of the revamped features of the BlackBerry Bridge. Basically you get to transform your compatible phone into a touchpad or even a keypad for your tablet, which could be handy in making some presentations.
PlayBook 2.0 also has a more feature-rich calendar, with the days when you are busy getting more emphasis. RIM plans to release the update this month so it won’t be a long wait for PlayBook users.
