Adobe Releases Free Photoshop CS6 Beta

Adobe has released a new free beta version of its popular image editing software Photoshop, and it is available as a free download from both Windows and Mac.

Photoshop CS6 Beta comes with a wide range of new features over the previous version, the guys over at Gizmodo have been testing it out, and you can find lots more details on what is new over at Gizmodo.

Toshiba LT170 Android 7 Inch Tablet Unveiled

A new Android tablet has been unveiled by Toshiba this week which will be launching in the next week or so for around €299. The new Toshiba LT170 is equipped with a 7 inch capacitive multitouch screen sporting a resolution of 1024 x 600.

Inside the Toshiba LT170 is a Freescale i.MX53 1 GHz processor supported by 512MB of RAM and 8GB of internal flash memory for file and media storage.

The Toshiba LT170 measures 200.25 x 128.5 x 11.5 mm and weighs just 388g making it the lights 7 inch Android tablet currently available. The LT170 is also fitted with a 7 hour lithium battery, together with front and rear cameras 0.3-megapixel on the front and a 2-megapixel on the rear.

The Toshiba LT170 will be arriving in Italy towards the end of the month, but no details have been released regards worldwide availability.

Angry Birds Space Lands On iOS, Android, PC And Mac

Rovio Mobile’s latest installment in the Angry Birds saga is now available, Angry Birds Space is now available for Apple’s iOS devices, Google’s Android device plus the PC and Mac.

Angry Birds Space comes with some new characters and a new physics engine for the ‘no gravity’ game play, have a look at the screenshots below.

There are a couple of versions available for iOS, with the iPhone and iPod Touch version retailing for $0.99, the HD iPad version retailing for $2.99, the Android version available for $0.99 and the Mac version available for $4.99.

Sony Xperia Neo L Android 4.0 Smartphone Announced

Sony has announced another new Android smartphone, the Sony Xperia Neo L, which is Sony’s first Android device that will come with Android 4.0 ICS out of the box.

The device will launch in China, and it features a single core 1GHz processor and 512MB of RAM, plus a 4 inch multi-touch display with a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels.

Other specifications on the Sony Xperia Neo L, include 1GB of built in storage plus a microSD card slot that can take up to 32GB cards.

It comes with two cameras, up front there is a VGA camera for video chat, on the back there is a 5 megapixel camera which can record HD video in 720p.

It looks like the Xperia Neo L will only be available in China, there are no details on when it will go on sale and also no details on pricing.

Toshiba Unveils 13.3 Inch AT330 Android ICS Tablet (Video)

Toshiba has shown off a new Android tablet in Germany, the Toshiba AT330 which comes with the latest version of Google’s mobile OS, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

The Toshiba AT330 features a 13.3 inch multi-touch touchscreen display that has a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels, although this hasn’t been confirmed as yet.

Have a look at the video of it in action below, the device also features a HDMI port and an SD card slot, and is in the prototype stages at the moment.

We have no details on when Toshiba will launch this new 13.3 inch tablet and also no details on how much it will retail for.

Sony Xperia S Starts Shipping Globally

Sony’s has announced that their latest Android smartphone the Sony Xperia S has now started shipping globally, which means the handset should shortly be available from carriers and retailers around the world.

The Sony Xperia S comes with a 4.3 inch HD multi-touch display that features a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, processing is provided by a dual core 1.5GHz processor.

The handset comes with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, although Sony has promised that it will get the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update in the near future.

Other specifications include a12 megapixel camera on the back which will be capable of recording full HD video in 1080p and it also features Sony’s Exmor R sensor, plus a front facing 720p HD 1.3 megapixel camera, and DLNA, HDMI and NFC.

RIM Says Jailbreaking Your PlayBook Will Void Your Warranty

Users of the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet have been able to jailbreak their device for a while now, although there has been no official word from RIM until now on how this will affect your device.

RIM’s Adrian Stone who is the Director of the BlackBerry Security Incident Response Team, has released the following statement, which clarifies RIM stance on jailbreaking the tablet.

“To be clear, RIM recommends against installing any jailbreaking tool. Customers who use a jailbreaking tool on BlackBerry products void the manufacturer warranty and also increase the long-term risk of negatively impacting the stability and user experience of their BlackBerry products.”

Skyrim : The Siege of Markarth, Epic Battle (video)

A new Skyrim epic battle has been created showing a battle on the steps of ancient Markarth between Forsworn, and the Nords. With both using hand-to-hand combat, magic and melee tactics to beat the other into submission.

The Skyrim battle scene has been created by Tyrannicon and is the second in the series. Following on from the first which was released back in the middle of February.

Can you imagine how fantastic Skyrim would be if a few of these epic battles made their way into the game or even the upcoming Elder Scrolls Online game that is currently under development. We can only hope. Enjoy!

Natural Gas To Improve Boeing Jets Fuel Efficiency By 60 Percent

Boeing has this week unveiled a new aircraft and propulsion system called SUGAR Freeze, which has been developed by Boeing to revolutionise air travel and make their planes 60 percent more fuel efficient.

SUGAR which stands for Subsonic Ultra Green Aircraft Research was a project commissioned by NASA and can be seen pictured at the bottom of this article . The new aircraft concept uses cryogenically stored liquified natural gas, which completes the Freeze part of the concepts name.

However at the moment the design is still deemed to unsafe to build at the current time for mass market, and more development has to be carried out to make the natural gas a safe system.

The development team is hoping that after further development the new SUGAR Freeze system will be ready for passenger jets sometime around 2035. For more information on the new concept jump over to the Aviation Week website.

iPhoto For iPad Hits 1 Million Downloads In 10 Days

Along with the launch of the new iPad, Apple also launched a couple of new apps for the iPad and iPhone, one of those was iPhoto, and it looks like the app has become extremely popular.

According to the guys over at The Loop, who have received some information from Apple, iPhoto has been downloaded more that one million times in the first ten days.

The one million downloads, is apparently for unique users, and not for devices, so Apple hasn’t counted the downloads of the same application for the iPhone and iPad by the same user.

Air Display App Receives HiDPI Support For New iPad 3

Air Display has announced that its now added HiDPI support to its application for the new iPad 3 to support Apple’s new retina screen, which has been fitted to the new iPad.

The new support has been added the latest Air Display update which is currently making its way through Apple’s approval process and is expected to shortly land in the iTunes App Store ready to download.

If you have not heard of HiDPI before t refers to the new support built into Apple’s OS X ready for new retina display Mac systems that are expected to start appearing in the near future. Samsung Galaxy Note Android 4.0 ICS Update Delayed Until Q2

Samsung were expected to release the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for their Galaxy Note smartphone before the end of March, we had previously heard that the update may be delayed and this has now been confirmed by Samsung.

Samsung have announced that the Ice Cream Sandwich update for the Galaxy Note will be released some time in quarter two of 2012, and the update will be released worldwide at the same time.

Samsung also announced that the update will come as part of a ‘Premium Suite’ software package, which will come with exclusive applications which will use the Note’s S-Pen Stylus.

The Premium Suite offers new features and applications exclusive to GALAXY Note and its innovative S Pen, which includes S Note, a unique tool that lets you combine your notes or sketches with other digital content, giving you a new way to create your own stories. S Note comes in various ready-to-use templates for a range of tasks including meeting minutes, diary and others.

Unfortunately Samsung did not give a specific date on when the Galaxy Note will get the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update, lets hope it is released earlier in quarter two rather than later.

Far Cry 3 Psychedelic Trailer Released (video)

A new Far Cry 3 trailer has been released by Ubisoft this week, which brings with it a more in depth view of the game. The new trailer reveals more action and some of the characters you will encounter on your island experience. Together with copious amount of drug taking and violence.

The new trailer also provides a look at a new character called Dr. Earnhardt, who has a penchant for drugs. Which your character will need to use during parts of the game. Far Cry 3 will be launching in September on Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PC

Sony Tablet P And Tablet S Android 4.0 ICS Update Coming Next Month In Japan

Sony has announced that its two Android tablet, the Sony Tablet P and Sony Tablet S will be getting an update to the latest version of Android next month.

The news comes from Sony Japan, who have said that android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich will be released to the Tablet P and Tablet S in April.

Unfortunately it isn’t clear as yet whether this update will be for Japan only, or whether it will be available in the US and Europe at the same time.

As soon as we get some more information on when the Android ICS update for both tablets will land in the US and Europe we will let you guys know.

Telltale Games, has released a new debut teaser trailer for their new The Walking Dead video game, which is currently under development. Telltale Games has been responsible for producing a number of other popular iOS game including Back to the Future and Monkey Island, so you can expect great things from the new title.

The Walking Dead video game revolves around the untold story following convicted criminal Lee Everett. Who is given a second chance at life to only find that its now gone to hell. Watch the trailer after the jump to see a glimpse of the action.

The Walking Dead will be a five part game in which any decisions you make, will reflect on in game play and e will have profound and lasting consequences, say Telltale Games.
