Google+ Android App Updated With Hashtags And Web Snippets

Following on from the redesign of its Google+ website based site. Google’s Android application for Google+ users has also received an new update this week, with the addition of a number of new features for mobile devices. As well as the obligatory bug and performance tweaks you would expect in an update.

The latest Android Google+ app update has now added hashtag support within the Google+ stream and added improved sharing for 3rd party applications. As well adding a great new feature that allows users to share snippets with their Google+ friends and followers directly from their Android smartphone or tablet.
Adding news or links that you find interesting in high quality detail inside your post, rather than just a title and links as before. The latest update is now available to download from the Google Play store.



Nokia Belle FP1 Incoming To 701, 700, And 603 Smartphones

Nokia has today started rolling out a new firmware update bringing the Nokia Belle Feature Pack 1 to Nokia 701, Nokia 700 and Nokia 603 phones. The new update has been released over-the-air (OTA) and includes new features including homescreen widgets, improvements to the notification bar, an updated version of the browser (8.2), an improved multi-tasking view, Dolby Digital Plus functionality, and increases the speed of the processor from 1.0 to 1.3GHz.

The firmware update also includes a number of recent application updates, including Microsoft Apps and Nokia Maps Suite 2.0, together with significant new functionality.
Once installed the software update will increase the clock speed of the Nokia 701, 700 and 603 processor by 30 percent from 1GHz to 1.3GHz, and will also fix Flash video performance issues experienced under Belle.

YouTube Partner Program Opens To All

YouTube have today opened up their Partner Program to the masses allowing anyone within 20 countries where the YouTube Partner Program already exists to join up for free. Previously the YouTube Partner Program was exclusively available to content producers of popular content, but from today YouTube has now opened up the service to everyone.

The YouTube Partner Program has been created to provide content creators with resources and opportunities to improve their skills, build larger audiences, and earn more money.
Even though the YouTube Partner Program is now open to everyone, there are still a few features that are not rolling out on day one to all new comers. But YouTube explains: “We are working on making these and other features available to more newly-made partners over time,”.
YouTube Partner program is currently available to everyone in these countries: Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Ireland, Israel, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom and the United States.



Kaspersky Lab Recalled Flashback Removal Tool After Causing Worse Issues For Mac Users

Unfortunately for some Mac users who have tried to use the Kaspersky Lab Flashback removal tool, in some cases the software released by Kaspersky has caused more problems than its solved.
Kaspersky originally released the tool to help Mac users after it was reported the Flashback/Flashfake malware, had already infected 670,000 computers worldwide mostly running OS X.

Unfortunately for some Mac users if they ran the software it can cause worse problems. Including erroneous removal of certain user settings including auto-start configurations, user configurations in browsers, and file sharing data. Kaspersky has now issued a statement explains:
“The Kaspersky Flashfake Removal Tool has been temporarily suspended. The company will release an updated version of the utility with the bug corrected and will send a notification as soon as it’s available.”
“In the event that users experienced problems due to the use of the Flashfake Removal Tool, they should contact Kaspersky support at techsupport@kaspersky.com or by calling Moscow at +7 (495) 797-70-32 for 24/7 help in English or Russian,” the company added. “Kaspersky Lab apologizes for any inconvenience caused by this issue and is working diligently to correct the problem.”
Apple has now released their own fix for the Flashback malware which is available as an update for Mac systems running Lion OS X. If you are running Snow Leopard or older versions. Apple suggests that you disable Java in the web browser’s preferences, section.



Sony’s SmartWatch Launched

Sony unveiled their new Android powered SmartWatch back at CES in January, and the device has now launched and it will retail for $150, it is designed to connect to your Android smartphone.
The Sony SmartWatch connects to your Android smartphone via Bluetooth and you can manage a number of your smartphones function direct from the watch, including reading text messages, email, and even managing calls.

The Sony SmartWatch comes with a 1.3 inch touchcsreen OLED display with a 128 x 128 pixel resolution, and will notify you of incoming calls, texts emails and more by vibrating.
