Nokia Lumia 710 Launches Worldwide Within Coming Weeks

The Nokia Lumia 710 was announced at the same time as the new Nokia Lumia 800, and now it looks like the device is about to go on sale from today in Taiwan, and in the next seven days it will also land in Singapore, Hong Kong, India and Russia.
Nokia has also said that the Lumia 710 will be rolled out globally within the coming weeks, and as we recently heard it is headed to T-Mobile in the US, we should get a US launch date some time next week.

As a reminder the Nokia Lumia 710 comes with Windows Phone 7.5 Mango and features a 3.7 inch WVGA touchscreen display with an 800 x 480- pixel resolution, there is also 8GB of built in storage and a single core 1.4GHz processor.
Other features on the Nokia Lumia 710 include 512MB of RAM, plus a 5 megapixel camera with an LED flash and it can record HD video in 720p at 30 frames per second, there is also a 1,300 mAh battery and it comes with Bluetooth 2.1, A-GPS, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi and a micro USB port.

Over 1 Million Mobile Apps Available To Download

According to a recent report by Mobilewalla, there are now more than 1 million applications available to download across the major applications platforms, with Apple and their iOS App store in the top spot with 598,763 applications available.
In second place is Google’s Android Market, where there are a total of 325,156 applications available, and this is followed by the BlackBerry app store which has a total of 43,548 apps, and finally the Windows Marketplace which has 36,487 applications available to download.

Apple and Google are clearly quite a bit ahead of the others, and we wonder how long it will take Google to catch up with Apple in terms of the number of applications available.

Google Gmail, Contacts And Google+ Now More Closely Integrated

Google has today started to roll out a new update for its Gmail, Contacts and Google+ service which will bring them even closer together. Allowing you to keep all your contact information up-to-date automatically, and share photos to Google+, all from within your Gmail account and Contacts.

Google explains:
“Looking for the info on an upcoming family holiday gathering but can’t remember who sent it? If you’ve spent time building your Google+ circles, you can now quickly use them to filter your mail, saving yourself from having to sift through that pile of daily deal emails and newsletters.
You can see messages from all of your circles at once or from each individual circle. And if you want, you can show circle names on emails in your inbox. Contacts can also be filtered by circles, making it easier to view your social connections.”

Logic Pro 9 Digital Audio Software Arrives In Mac App Store

Apple has made a number of changes to its Logic music software versions, and has announced that it will discontinuing sales of its Logic Studio and Logic Express digital audio workstation packages “effective immediately,”. Instead Apple has now released Logic Pro 9 and MainStage 2 applications as separate applications, which are now available to purchase from the Apple Mac App Store.

Apple explains: “Logic Pro brings together all the editing tools and content browsers you need in a single, beautifully designed window. So everything can happen faster. Your shortcut menus, toolbars, and transport controls are right there for you, not spread across a maze of windows. And you can customize the toolbar and transport areas with the tools and controls you use most often.”
Apple Logic Pro 9 is now available to download and purchase for $200 or £140.

Verizon Droid Xyboard 10.1 And 8.2 Tablets Go On Sale

Verizon  Wireless has started selling the two new Motorola Xyboard tablets in the US, the Xyboard 10.1 and Xyboard 8.2, with the 8.2 inch version retailing for $429.99 and the 10.1 inch version retailing for $529.99 when you sign up to a new two year contract with Verizon.
The Xyboard 10.1 features a a 10.1 inch HD display and it comes with Android 3.2 Honeycomb and a dual core 1.2GHz processor, plus 1GB of RAM and a choice of either 16GB, 32GB or 64GB of storage.

Whilst the Xyboard 8.2 also comes with Android 3.2 Honeycomb, and a dual core 1.2GHz processor, this version features a smaller 8.2 inch HD display, a front facing 1.3 megapixel camera and a rear facing 5 megapixel camera with digital zoom, an LED flash and auto-focus.
