Apple’s iPhoto Can Be Installed On Original iPad With Simple Hack

Last week Apple announced the new iPad 3, along with a range of new apps for the tablet, one of those was iPhoto, but unfortunately the application only works on the iPad 2 and iPad 3.

Now it looks like there is a simple hack that will let you install iPhoto on your original iPad, and it works in the same way as the previous hack for iMovie on the first generation iPad.

Police to Raid The Pirate Bay, According to Sources

After the first raid done by the Swedish government 6 years ago, The Pirate Bay, the world’s most popular torrent site, is again threatened by another crackdown, according to credible sources.

The Pirate Bay itself confirmed the news regarding a pending raid and revealed that they have been receiving updates about it since investigations regarding the site was resumed in 2010.

As such, the group decided to make known to the public that they are well-informed about the situation. TPB also assures everyone that even if servers and domain names are cut off, the site will remain to be of service to millions of torrent users around the world. What’s the secret?

Aside from full site backup, TPB made the effort to create a “magnet link” site, which allows for the entirety of The Pirate Bay to be reduced to some hundred megabytes. Now the site can be saved in flash drives, even in DVDs!

Google Pays Apple $1 Billion To Be Search Default

Talk about a mega blockbuster mammoth of a deal! According to one analyst, Google could be paying as much as $1 billion to be the default search engine in Safari on the iPhone, iPad, and Mac systems. I guess they really do have more money than God. In fact, God probably bugs them for lunch money at this point.

That number isn’t just guesswork. They did plenty of number-crunching to arrive at this conclusion. And we are talking about the iPhone, the most sought after phone since its debut, and the same is true of the iPad.

According to Business Insider, if the iPad continues to grow it will surpass PCs in 5 years. At that point an Apple switch to another search provider could be devastating for Google. So you begin to see how that number makes a lot of sense. It will be interesting to see what happens between these two companies in the coming years.

Facebook Interest Lists Turn Your Profile into a Personal Newspaper

Facebook has announced that it will be launching Interest Lists over the coming weeks. It appears that these Interest Lists will turn up on people’s accounts randomly and some may get them early, while others have to wait a while. This is sort of an expansion to the interests Facebook already allows you to choose.

Facebook says when your account has the ability to activate Interest Lists you will see the “Add Interests” icon here in the upper left-hand corner of the newsfeed. Users will also be able to create lists from the Create Lists prompt on the Interests page.

Facebook says that these new interest lists will help you turn your Facebook profile into a personalized newspaper. Results from these lists will be placed into your normal newsfeed for you to peruse. There will be traditional news section lists for sports and business among others and you’ll be able to choose personalize lists for things like tech news for specific sports players. Google Fixes Chrome Pwnium Security Flaw In Less Than 24 Hours

Less than 24 hours after security flaws which were found and awarded $60,000 by Google at the recent Pwnium event has already been patched up ad fixed. The new security update which has patched the security flaw discovered by Russian student and hacker Sergey Glazunov. Has already been rolled out using Google Chromes automatic update feature.

The speed at which the update has been released in due to Google’s Chrome browser being open source. Enabling an update to be released without the need to wade through a pile of quality assurance. Which Microsoft’s Internet Explorer would need to do to release a similar security update.

Android Market Terms Prohibits In App Use Of Third Party Payment Services

It has been revealed this week that Google is putting pressure on developers to use its own Google Wallet payment system. Rather than using third party in-app payment options for their creations, such as PayPal, Zong and Boku. Which would violate the Google Market’s terms of use.

The news has been reported by Reuters who where contacted by a number of developers, investors and executives from mobile gaming and payment services revealing the conditions and situation with Google.

Apparently Google has warned a number of developers if they continue using third-party in-app payment adoptions then Google will remove their applications front he Android Market. Si Shen, founder and chief executive of Papaya, a social gaming network on Android explained to Reuters:

“They told people that if they used other payment services they would be breaking the terms of use,”-”Whether it’s right or wrong, we have to follow the rules.”
